CSG offers mobile and mobile access management for the John Holland Group

Cloud Solutions Group (CSG), a systems integrator and cloud consultancy, announced that it has delivered an integrated mobile device and access management solution to the John Holland Group, one of the largest providers of construction, tunnels, rail and construction services. in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

The solution supports 6000 employees using Microsoft Intune as an enabled platform and ensures that corporate data is protected across all business mobile iOS and Android devices, as well as any corporate data accessed through personal devices.

Kier Morrison, General Manager IT Operations at John Holland Group said: “We required a mobile device management solution that can be easily managed by our IT team while also protecting corporate data both in business and on employee-owned devices. More reassignment is required. From 300 legacy devices are migrated, and policies are standardized or implemented coherently.

“It soon became apparent that CSG would be the most suitable for our requirements. We could see that their services and technical expertise could provide the level of functionality we needed and expand to match our continued growth in the future. Specifically, we were impressed by CSG’s broad knowledge across a range of device management solutions and their broad knowledge of with Microsoft 365 and all the features available that allow us to get the most out of our customers’ licensing arrangements.”

Initially, the CSG identified individual use cases that must be addressed by the solution. This included company-owned Android and iOS devices (with kiosk style and user affinity) and unmanaged personal devices.

Then, CSG designed baseline compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployments for each of these devices. In addition, application protection policies have been introduced that prevent corporate data from being stored outside the specified location, including SharePoint and OneDrive for Business.

Using its expertise in device management, CSG has automatically applied all of these policies to every use case through a combination of device enrollment software from Apple, Samsung Knox, and Microsoft Intune.

“One of the most important benefits was the process of re-registering legacy devices into a supported system and preventing more devices running outside of the managed solution,” said Josh Robbins, CEO and founder of CSG.

To achieve this, we scheduled relay sessions with affected employees. In addition, to further protect the data, we have introduced several conditional access policies that will block unauthorized applications, such as third-party mail clients. This will limit users to being able to only use the authorized application to access John Holland’s data and enforce the MFA when necessary. “

The incremental dissemination approach proved successful, as the set of policies were gradually introduced on time and within budget.

“CSG, along with John Holland, provided a clear and concise communication plan that ensured that the changes we made were widely accepted by our employees,” Morrison said.

“We now have a solution that provides fully automated setup for all new Android and iOS devices and protects corporate data across all mobile devices.

“At the same time, while our change management experience ensures that the IT team is empowered to successfully deploy change to end users, I am confident that we have a robust and adaptable platform that will support our operations in the coming years. We view CSG as a valuable and reliable business partner.”
