Age is not the only factor affecting user stability, lack of physical fitness or onset of disease or ailments can have a similar effect.
With instability, the risk of falling increases, an accident that can lead to long-term injuries and discomfort. For those in extreme conditions, falls can significantly deteriorate a person’s health.
People face a problem that unless they consciously check how they walk, they are unlikely to notice their instability in their daily lives. They may not see him until they fall, by which point it will be too late.
Changes in a person’s stability can also be used as an indicator of other health problems, such as arthritis or Parkinson’s disease. In some cases, noticing unsteadiness may prompt a person to seek medical attention early, which can be helpful in treating treatable illnesses.
According to data from the World Health Organization, an estimated 684,000 people die from falls globally, and adults over the age of 60 suffer more fatal falls. Approximately 32.3 million falls occur each year that are severe enough to require medical care, which can cost a person in the form of paying for medical care and possibly losing earnings from not being able to work.

Included as part of iOS 15, the Walking Steadiness feature of the Apple Health app can use sensors on your iPhone to determine how well you’re walking. Using algorithms, it can assess your balance, stability, and coordination as you roam.
These metrics include walking speed, stride length, double support time, and walking asymmetry.
Once enabled, Walking Steadiness will collect new data and analyze existing data collected by other Health functions.
Although not enabled by default, you can turn on Walking Steadiness notifications in iOS. Once enabled, you will be given periodic notifications when the iPhone detects a decline in stability.
The feature categorizes results into three levels: OK, Low, and Very Low.
Well, it means that your walking stability is normal, and you do not have an increased risk of falling in the next 12 months.
A lower rating means that you are at increased risk of falling in the next year. A very low level of walking stability indicates that the user is unstable while on the move and is therefore at risk of falling.
How to enable persistence notifications while walking in iOS 15
