You probably use AirPods a lot, so you don’t want to out of place With them. Apple has updated the AirPod tracking features available in the Find My app to enable you to track lost earbuds or headphones even when they’re out of Bluetooth range — here’s how to make sure you never lose your Apple audio devices again.

These steps are slightly different depending on which model of AirPods you’re using, but there are options for each. If your AirPods do not appear on the map, enable Notify when you find it toggle switch (under Notices) and you will be pinged when the connection is made again. There’s no guarantee they’ll appear again, but this option protects you from having to load Find My every ten minutes to see if your lost device is back in the map.

If you are using 1st generation or 2nd generation AirPods, you will get directione button. This will guide you to where the earbuds were last connected via Bluetooth – it’s not that precise, but it works well enough. This is as far as the functionality applies to older versions of AirPods.
