Some must-play Nintendo Switch games are $20 off

If you’re a newcomer to the Nintendo Switch, or perhaps you’re buying for someone who needs to boost their game library, it’s always wise to snag the console’s best games when they go on sale, as they rarely do. Best Buy lists several games that I consider must-play experiences for a $20 discount — both in physical and digital formats. Other retailers, such as Amazon and Walmart, respect the price cuts, too. Even better, there are a bunch of games included in this sale, which are suitable for people who want a shooter, turn-based strategy game, or a good 3D Mario platformer.

Super Mario Odyssey is an engaging and fun take on the traditional 3D Mario game, giving Mario a throwable hat to dramatically expand his movement range and have objects to wrap around the levels. If you are tired of open world games that have a lot of goals, it can be refreshing to play this game, where your only goal is to jump, climb and collect shiny objects.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses It’s the turn-based tactical title I mentioned earlier. The game mainly consists of two parts: a part that looks like it’s rotating on a file Person The game, where you build relationships with your students turned warriors, and the other part sees you facing enemies in exciting battles that never go beyond their welcome.

Splatoon 2 It is a unique third-person shooter where you play as humans as squids who shoot paint at each other. This game contains smart weapons (sort of like Questions and clatter), and the like Super Mario OdysseyIts story mode offers a simple structure, allowing you to get out on your way to the goal (which in the case of this game is sniping a lot of enemies).

And of course a must buy The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It was released alongside the Switch, but as my colleague Sam Byford wrote on the game’s fifth anniversary, it set a very high standard as an immersive open-world action game that rival titles would struggle to meet. If you’re a Zelda fan, you’ll probably devour this one, but new players should have a good time too.

Amazon is, once again, selling its third-generation Echo Dot smart speaker for almost nothing, with a pair of strings attached. You can get the charcoal speaker for $1 as long as you never own an Echo on your Amazon account and sign up for one month of Amazon Music Unlimited, which costs $7.99 per month for Prime members and $9.99 per month for non-members.

Your total will be $8.98 at checkout if you use Prime, or $10.98 for non-Prime members. And just for your information, your streaming service subscription will be set to auto-renew every month, so keep that in mind.

Three bundles of Blink Wireless Outdoor Cameras cost $159.99 at Amazon and Best Buy, down from the usual cost of $249.99 for a bundle. This price drop matches the huge discount that occurred in mid-February. These cameras run on AA batteries, and the company claims you’ll get two years of use before they need to be replaced.

The camera system includes a free 30-day trial of a Blink subscription that allows you to record, view, and save clips. It costs $3 per month per camera after that or $10 per month for unlimited cameras. Alternatively, if you prefer a local storage solution, you can opt for Blink Sync Module 2 for $34.99, which can save clips and photos from up to 10 Blink cameras.
